The Good Time In YMCA



  This Quater we learn a lot of things which we can not learn in class, such as doing some handcrafts, and also I know how to use sewing mechine. At the same time thanks the YMCA staffs give us a lot of help, during this time we communicated and learned a lot of things from each other.

  I like the some small handicrafts which other volunteers did, like the sewing kits, they look like small cakes, so lovely!

  From the perspective of the mirror, we can see everyone worked very hard!

  After class the happiest thing is seeing the parents bring their children to home~

                           It was our first day go to YMCA. I used to sew the sun in the fabric.

                                    I had sewed the cloud before I finished the sun in the fabric.

When I took picture in the classroom, Mr Ma was holding a needle.

                         It was the final project show in the museum, which crowed a lot of people.

                 Before the exhibition began, we had sold the post cards which created by children.

                                             The quilt used to sew by Tina in few weeks.

The Muse Gallery !

The Muse Gallery ! the day has come, the day that we have been waiting so far and working hard for so many visits. Hanging our gracious works on the robe, expanding our artistic skills by working on those kinds of stuff,  and gathering under one roof to make our works rise high in the sky. Every one was prepared, especially the children, were so exited and hoping that the flower will blossom at last. A lot of snacks, refreshments and piece for sale, for the sake of helping the children, the members of YMCA.

I am the beloved community, the slogan that capture our hearts since the first day we joined!

Our work shining like a star in the sky! I can't explain how much I was happy when I saw it !!

What a wonderful time we have spent there ! full of life, love, and happiness !

YMCA blog #3

Here we are, the final stage of completing and finalizing our works! at this day, we were working in the final touches of our hilarious works with the children, patching and sewing the last pieces that will finalize our great efforts with the children. After that, an exhibition will occur in the Muse gallery, and in that time, everyone will be so happy to represent their artworks and wonderful pieces, with most proud and happiness !!

The children were quilting and enjoying their time with most pleasure and happiness !

YMCA Blog #2

At the YMCA, we have been always enjoying this day when we are there, helping the children, making some fancy stuff, seen the happiness on the children faces when we are helping them, this was truly amazing. This place is full of spirited children and wonderful people that contribute in helping those young souls, driving them to achieve what they cannot reach without the generous assistant from the awesome people "including us". Again and again, quilting, sewing, pressing, stitching, patching, and so on and so forth.

The youth drawing that will escalate the skills to the very top, to the peak!

Loved the cooperation souls that arise the confidence of the children and make them excited!

Our final product that represents the heart in the middle, the food, and majorly, the LOVE !

A good time--Muse gallery

We have a good time about the Muse gallery. This activity is a meaningful thing for me. Bai Lin, kiki, JinLin and I helped them to sell the cards of the YMCA. We have a big harvest not only the money, but also the experiences for sell.  

Do you like this artwork?  I like it. It is made of the different colors of the quilt. We enjoyed the time that we sewn get together at the YMCA.
