Intro to YMCA

Hi,
This is Obadah Aljefri, and apparently I am the second to blog here. This is my first post, and I'm going to write about my experience at the YMCA and help centers like hospices and whatever... The reason me and my classmates are visiting such places is because we have a course, taught by a Prof.Emily Gung,  that requires us to interact with the community and eventually ending by making a quilt.

Today, we went to the YMCA. The people in charge of the place randomly divided us into groups of two. Each group was to interact and make conversation with a kid. My partner was Jason Wu, he's awesome!! We had our eye a little girl that we wanted to paired up with, and her name Savannah. She is soooo adorable, unfortunately she was assigned to talk to someone else. The good news is the kid they paired us with was Armone who turned out to be super cute, chubby, and awesome!! We spoke to him about something he picked from a box. The thing was the movie "E.T.". He told us that he really likes the movie, and that he watched it several times. We asked him what it would it be like if he had like a real alien friend like E.T., and he thought it would be wonderful. Then, spoke about scary movie and I know it's weird, but he watches scary movies with his parents, and he's only 6 years old. After that, we spoke about super heroes. His favorite super hero was Superman, but then it's Batman. He was telling us stories about Batman, Catwoman, and the Joker. Then, he started talking about transformers and which part was best. That ended up in me, as Sentinel Prime, and him, as Optimus Prime, role playing.Eventually, each kid had to choose a hand crafted diary that was made by some other people, and he drew us. Finally, they made us leave. :)
